Plates #29: Philosoplates!

Come one, come all to Philosoplates!

A night of philosophically intriguing questions about food, and intriguing philosophical food that's all about questions.

We'll be asking whether food can be art, whether it can ever be permissible to use animals or their products for food (although we won't be), and whether some food truly is better than others.

We'll be trying to work out whether a burrito is a sandwich, what the opposite of eating is, and whether pitta bread is bread or one huge crust.

Also less frivolously, what can we do to address the widening of the food wealth gap that will inevitably hit post-brexit.

All questions will be served up alongside some tasty grub that's bound to tickle your brain cells as well as your taste buds, and some talks that might tickle your brain cells but won't interact with your taste buds.

Plates are served on a contribute-what-you-can basis. We recommend a donation of £10 if u can really help us out, £5 if that's a bit too much for you. No one will be turned away due to a lack of funds.

Unfortunately our toilets are not wheelchair accessible. More info on our accessibility is here: https://www.foodhallproject.org/accessibility. Get in touch at foodhallproject@gmail.com
